Love for the great outdoors has always been in my blood. I was homegrown in Northern Utah to parents that were outdoor fanatics. My family grew up in the National parks in and around Utah. I remember that for five years of my childhood we spent 1-2 weeks a summer exploring in the greater Yellowstone area. At a very young age I learned to appreciate nature, how to be responsible and respectful to the outdoors, and gained a passion for adventure. Throughout my life I have always enjoyed camping and hiking. I enjoy many hobbies in the outdoors which gives me the opportunity to take advantage of different aspects of nature. I snowboard the rocky ridges and bowls at the top of the mountains, fly fish the streams and rivers of the mountain valleys and canyons, mountain bike the trails of the foothills, and backpack through the backcountry. There are many different ways to enjoy the outdoors and I take any opportunity that I can to try something new.
Blogging is something relatively new to me. For years I have been blogging on and off for Fishiki Fly Fishing. My love and passion for fly fishing led me to create videos and content for sharing with anyone who would listen or watch. I was working on my bachelors at the time and Fishiki was a way that I could escape from the campus library to the mountains. I plan to continue with Fishiki but I wanted to start a new chapter in blogging, one that I could share not only fly fishing but all things outdoors!
Creekside Tranquility was an idea that came to me while I was fly fishing one of my favorite Montana creeks. The story of Creekside can be found in my about section. Ever since the day this idea blossomed in my mind, it has been evolving and I have been building upon it. I still don't know the full extent of where this adventure will end up. Many of my plans center around sharing the best content available for all outdoor enthusiasts. I would be very appreciative for your support, please subscribe to my youtube channel, blog or both. I definitely don't want this to be a one-sided discussion. I would like to know more about who you are and what you love about the outdoors. Any feedback that you have for me is much appreciated. Thank you so much for checking out my new blog and website. Feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email!
Thanks for taking a look into my world,
-Mike
